In A Plan of Action for the Aspiring Actor career guide, I will share with you a plan along with the tools you will need...and give you a chance to overcome the miserable odds of not working and get exactly what you want. In my Connect the Mind, Heart, Spirit & Drive to Fulfill Your Dreams Seminars, I share several unorthodox plans and details that work! But first, let me give you a little background on myself. Specifically, how I started my acting career and made this journey work for me.
It all came about almost 12 years ago when I crashed an audition for the Paramount box office hit, Save the Last Dance. Thank God I booked a role in film, I had obtained enough money to move to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of acting. I didn't have any industry contacts back then, I wasn't in the union, I didn't have a demo reel, nothing. I received a lot of advice on the do's and don't in Hollywood before moving but with trusting my instincts and thinking out of the box, I found my own way. It wasn't hard but it wasn't easy. More importantly, it wasn't like what anyone else said it would be.
I gave my first acting seminar years ago to a standing room only event during the Hollywood Black Film Festival. I wanted to share what I'd learn to every aspiring actor that was there. I had tapped into something that was working and I wanted to share it. I was especially happy to learn that individuals could be inspired and have breakthroughs through my perspective and presented techniques. From that day many years ago, my passion to empower and motivate actors has never left me. In a strong effort to reach actors in all parts of the globe, this book was created for you.
